Still remember the Humanitarian Affair? A group of teenagers from Bandar Seri Begawan did make something to our school during the first school holiday back in March 2008. They made their first humanitarian service for one objective of helping the children especially from Sekolah Rendah Bokok, a school that was severely affected by the worst flood in February 2008.
Since the students and the teachers were transferred to Sekolah Rendah Sultan Hassan, the group made contributions by painting and decorating the school that they spread their love and care to the children through their creativity. The motive was to bring smiles and happiness upon the faces of the victims and to lessen the emotional impacts they had suffered from the loss of the previous school and friends.
Cikgu Dayang Yusnani, the GB of SR Sultan Hassan, Cikgu Azim, Cikgu Fazli and some staffs of the school greeted their welcome to the school. They made missions by rejuvenating the garden with colours and some planting, renewing the badminton court, renovating the landscaped map of Brunei, painting alphabets, numbers and games on the corridor’s floors and walkways. The project took 3 days, they created a memorial foundation located before the English Hut marking their project was done successfully.
